I'm an aspiring novelist, and so, a wide vocabulary would certainly help me on that one. At present, well, let's just say it's not exactly top-notch, so I've come here.

Other than that, I'm young and a student, so I'd reckon I do have lot's of time for that.

plethora
Although it is often overused by those who think of themselves to be amazing poets [at least from my experience] I love the word on it's own. It sounds almost floral, even fragrant to some degree. A plethora of lillies, haha.

This word just sounds terrible to put it simply. It's just so blunt sounding. It's also really distasteful, I think. I just don't like it.
