I am a Christian and believe that God placed all of us hear for a reason. I am a student of life; a lover of children and animals. I am a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and teacher. I believe that our country's most important resource is our children and that we need to do a better job of nurturing, educating, protecting and providing for their basic needs. I believe in the public education system, but I also believe that the general public hasn't a clue as to the magnitude of the role that schools play in the lives of children today.
