My father was an ordinary Midwestern man of the extraordinary WW-II generation who was keen on words. He had a wonderful vocabulary and loved to punctuate his common-man common-sense storytelling with some fairly uncommon words and phrases he picked up from his Army buddies from all regions of the country. "Indubitably" was one of his favorite single-word epigrams.
