About Me
I am an engineer by natural inclination, education and profession. An eternally inquisitive man who likes structure, whether in the form of mechanical gadgets, language syntax or music does not matter. I have dabbled with teaching, human factors and mental cognition and psychology, some of it through formal education but mostly self-taught through reading and observation. Nothing interests me more than dissecting a complex structure and studying its components and the laws or rules by which they interact. I find that doing so gives me a set of rules to synthesize my own structures, sometimes using new rules to do so. It also gives me a growing rule book that can be quickly applied when I encounter a new structure that seems similar to one previously studied, enabling me to comprehend the structure faster or predict it more accurately, or learn a new rule!
