About Me
I believe I have yet to really exercise my capacity to use language correctly, and that this limits my comfort in social settings (particularly when surrounded by academics).

I like peaceful settings, and hope to cultivate beauty and joy.
I was once a preschool director, and went back to college to study sociology. Now, I am pursuing a career as a postpartum doula because it will allow me to exercise my skills in a variety of areas.

I like blackberry sage tea and talking with family in the kitchen while making dinner. I enjoy walks at night, especially if the stars are out. But, most of all I love my husband and two young daughters.

Favorite Word:

exacerbate
I can remember hoisting my uncle's heavy dictionary on my lap to look up the definition of exacerbate. We played games together to help me incorporate it into my every day speech. Additionally, I like the way it rolls off of the tongue.

Least Favorite Word:

sludge
When I say it I wrinkle my face and immediately feel as though I am stuck in sludge. I can't imagine a positive scenario that would call for the use of the word sludge.
