A journalist for about 50 years in Perth, Darwin, London, Rome and Hong Kong,I found my employment talents were more analytical than ceative, so they have been useful in my semi-retirement for the past 25 years as a casual sub-editor for a group of community newspapers. I'm still with them, albeit only four hours a week. Aged 81, I have a son and two grandchildren, boys aged 17 and 15. I live alone, having been divorced twice. I play the piano and guitar and I recently resumed trying to learn German in the hope it will also benefit my brain.
