About Me
I'm a lone identical twin, baseball umpire, musician, songwriter, guitar player, voracious reader, obsessive-compulsive hand washer, former opening act for Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel, cat lover, product of the 1960s, truth seeker and revealer, annoying grammar corrector, force of nature, burr under the saddle, peace negotiator.

baseball
"Baseball is a game between two teams of nine players each, under direction of a manager, played on an enclosed field in accordance with the rules, under jurisdiction of one or more umpires." That is Rule 1.01 of the Official Baseball Rules, and it says everything about the game in language so beautiful and succinct - and sometimes so infuriatingly impenetrable - it makes my heart beat in time to the rhythm of the universe.
