Favorite Word:

tie
I tidy little word that both creates pathways and restricts, both unites and binds. If it were in VT: Petrichor -- The smell of rain on dry earth or rock. I love the smell, and I dig the feel of the word in my mouth and ears.

Least Favorite Word:

literally
I fully understand and accept that language evolves and that words can only mean what people use and understand them to mean. At the same time, "literally" is now often used alongside figurative idioms where it was once used to indicate that those idioms were not being used figuratively in the instant case. This newer usage kills puns.
