About Me
Journalism major became a serial company president. Now busy redefining the overextended title of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Bold book on the way. Bio: www.hillviewpartners.com On a personal side...thanks to Tom Watson and Tiger Woods, they say "59 is the new 30," so I'm 30. I love beyond measure my stellar daughter Jennifer Gray Dallas (32), and I'm greatly blessed to have extended family and cherished friends who span eight decades (shining stars in their teens, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s). Wisdom, courage, patience and love are the four things for which I pray daily -- and sometimes even chant these words (quietly to myself, you'll be pleased to know). Fully responsible leaders R.E.A.C.T. with Respect, Empathy, Authenticity, Clarity and Trust. I R.E.A.C.T. Of course I love Chicago (REALLY), and yes, I REALLY miss Manhattan, DC, Virginia, and the whole Northeast Corridor. I NEED another trip

Favorite Word:

ascendancy
Too many talented people in the Land of the Free have been lulled into inaction. "Ascendancy" (i.e., social boldness) reminds others and me to step up to the plate and swing at life's abundance. And it also prompts us to also take turns on the pitcher's mound to send a few fast balls to other heavy hitters. Every fully responsible leader has to practice what she or he preaches about engagement, passion, excellence, action, performance and results. Our world depends on ascendancy of good people.

Least Favorite Word:

No
It is a word with little promise. Occasionally it saves a child from burning a hand on a hot stove, or protects boundaries set in personal and professional relationships. Yet too often is is a synonym for fear of failure and fear of success. When used to stop progress, No becomes a four letter word.
