I am an 8th grade language arts teacher of students who did not pass the state assessment. I design and scaffold my lessons in a step-by-step process so that my students are slowly led to more easily understand the concepts I teach. I lay a solid foundation of strategies they can use when working in groups to formulate collaborative writings requiring cite-based evidence. My expectations are very high. Working hard equals success, which builds confidence.
Personally, I am a stained-glass enthusiast. I enjoy creating my own designs and build projects that enhance my home or are gifts I present to others. This step-by-step hobby requires as much patience as does teaching. It's in my blood.
