Because God has displayed a great and noble act of His love by giving us, the human race, His Son Jesus to die in our place due to the crimes we have committed against Him.

This maybe one of my least favorite words due to the fact that my daddy dealt very dishonorablely with me as a child. So probably all words that has a disgraceful, shameful, notorious meaning reminds me of my daddy, so it becomes my least favorite word.
