I have always loved words. I studied with Norman O. Brown as a classics student at UC Santa Cruz and since that time I have focused on the words that people use and how they use them. I constantly listen for an interesting use of a word or turn of phrase.

As a management consultant the etymology of words is a useful tool when working with groups, trying to get them onto the same conceptual page or helping them to connect to the deep meaning of their work.

I am very excited by the use of the visual thesaurus as an extension of this tool.
