Schadenfreude

I delight in the sentiment behind the word--joy over the misery of others, and my favorite episode of Boston Legal has that name because James Spader excoriates the jury over their Schadenfreude for his client while defining it. A great television word moment!

Least Favorite Word:

Look at all the ways to avoid this word depending upon what I really want to say. Much less maligned than it's cousin "be," it deserves even more ferreting out. I particularly loathe the expression "do research." What has happened to verbs: to research without the fake verb.
