About Me
I am a Christian Scientist practitioner. I love to read and write. I also teach Kindergartners in Sunday School, so I find word study helpful in defining words to these little ones.

I love to study words, and have my favorite resources, like Eric Partridge's book on word origins, onelook.com, especially Wordsmyth, lexicons, etc.

Favorite Word:

love
Love is another name for God, that tells us what God is and does. As St. John tells us, "God is Love." And God loves, each and every one of us. Let us have spiritual vision to see what is loveable in each other, the qualities of God, and know that they already exist as part of our true identity.

Least Favorite Word:

death
Because it hides immortality, and thereby divides and separates, rather than heals. I am thinking of Noah Webster's definition of "conceal" in his 1828 American Dictionary of the English Language. Death is like the mist hiding the allness of immortal Love, whence there is no death.
