My fovorite word actually is "crepuscule," in the French. The word is not in the Thesaurus' French dictionary (!). So I've switched it for its English translation, "back-dooring" the system. "Crepuscule" occupies the mouth as it occupies the mind, and carries the mood of twilight. It's fun to say. It's poetic. The light at that time of day is the most captivating of all. And prayers for the night are the most tender.
It's an ugly Dutch, meaning "master." Carries that connotation in U.S. history among slaves. Someone who is harsh, peremptory, arbitrary, domineering. It strikes me as much more emotive than the associations that go with your rather antiseptic diagram. Aren't there verbs that go with "boss?"
