Probably best describes my attitude towards life, I prefer to define the word as " willingness to change views and opinions with input of new ideas and information","pragmatism" I see as an openness to new thoughts and ideas, perhaps an esoteric-functionalist!!

Because very few things are, from a linguistic or semantic perspective the word has become an irritating exclamation of approval very much overused!
