I'm a wife, mother of five, and grandmother of seven (for now!). I graduated from college at the age of 48 and began my teaching career at age 49. I love music and have an AA in it with my Bachelor's degree in Education with an English emphasis. i have a passion for words--where they come from, what they mean, how to pronounce them, and the crazier and wackier they are, the better I like them! I could have put PIZWAT as my favorite word because it came from a book my husband reads to his 4th grade classes and it really tickled my funny bone 26 years ago, so I nicknamed my newborn daughter that and it still sticks today! Words are amazing and entertaining and fabulous and my students accuse me of reading dictionaries--which is partially true. And finally--I also have a passion for reading and do it whenever I can.
