A am self-employed as well as an instructor at a local junior college. I am passionate about small business and the challenges that small business owners face. I write business plans and feasibility studies.
I am an avid reader and a would-be author. I am single (widowed 15 years ago) and find that the best is yet to come! I cherish friends, a good glass of wine and an engrossing book. It doesn't get much better than that!
One of my hot buttons is the English language and the proper usage of it. I have an extensive vocabulary (gained through reading, of course) and am always challenged to learn and improve my command of the language. My business management students tease me because I edit their papers with a "fine toothed comb" - and they don't expect editing from anyone save their English teachers! Imagine that...how can anyone expect to succeed in today's competitive business world if he or she cannot express him/herself correctly? I'm on a crusade!
