My daughter (age 14) and I started collecting words a few years ago. We have many words still in our head or on a list on paper; we will add all those words soon. We have words that are not necessarily unusual, rare, or just plain weird, but words that are interesting in how they sound or "feel" to us. Here are some of our favorite words.
purple
shadow
spandex
reciprocate
spiel
guffaw
propinquity
ubiquitous
The name of one of our dance companies. Ubiquitous Dance Company. We can never remember how to spell this!
pithy
bookkeeper
The only word that we know of with three sets of double letters in a row!
jazz
diatribe
palatable
