"Karma"? "Ambition"? What Word Would *You* Give a College Grad?

In a commencement address given at Stanford University in 2005, Steve Jobs used words like karma, entrepreneur, intuition, and idealism. (We've compiled a list of vocabulary from his address here.)

He was taking part in a great tradition of speeches made to college grads in an attempt to both congratulate them and inspire them for the next phase of their lives. But what if we put aside speeches for a moment and consider a gift that's much more likely to fit into their closet-sized first apartment, a single word?

What word would you want to give college grads to equip them for life? (Check out Starting Your New Life: Inspiring Words from Commencement Speeches for ideas.)

Tweet graduation gift-worthy words with the hashtag #gradwords or leave them as comments here. We'll collect the responses into a vocabulary list to serve as inspiration to the thousands of college grads taking their first steps into life.

Parents and teachers: we especially want to hear from you!
