This week's worksheet gives students a chance to discover how Americans and Brits might give the same set of directions to Grandma's home using different sets of vocabulary words.
Students should complete the worksheet twice — once using the words in their native English, and then a second time using the words from across the Pond (i.e., the Atlantic Ocean). Students should look up any unfamiliar words in the Visual Thesaurus to discover which word pairs in the word bank have the same meanings. Visual Thesaurus word maps display both American and British words.
