About Me
I was born in 1937, majored in government in college, and have made my career with the League of Women Voters. I have had a long history as a newsletter writer, but for the last several years have been a manager of candidate debates, an explainer of state ballot measures, and a monitor of the board meetings of my water district—a water-watcher.

Democracy is a system that offers me a chance to have power in the selection of those who will have power over me. My mother was 10 years old when women got the vote. I celebrate that with my license plate 26AUG20, the date of the 19th Amendment.
