I've been writing poetry for 40 years, and have had a few poems published. About 35 years ago, I was "president" or chief editor of my college literary magazine. I enjoyed that immensely. I spent 20 years working in commercial real estate. I had to "retire" after becoming 100% disabled due to chronic diseases of the spine plus serious automobile accidents. I write as often as my spine allows, for as long as I am able to tolerate the relentless pain. I consider myself most fortunate. I love to write, to read, and to listen to and play music. I was eight when I began playing keyboards of various types. I don't play now, just listen to others' recordings. Music truly inspires me. I started climbing mountains when I was seven, and rock climbing at 15, long before it became somewhat fashionable. Now, I dream of climbing once again. Sweet dreams they are, indeed.
