About Me
I am a high school English teacher. My family members are cat lovers and we are blessed with our rescued cat, tuxedo-black Louie. Reading, writing, kayaking and inline speedskating are among my hobbies. My background is Norwegian; I came to Canada at age three. I speak English, French and Norwegian. Language is one of my great passions. If I was shipwrecked on a desolate island, I would want books over music. My favourite authors include these talented writers: Agatha Christie, Nigel Cliff, Henning Mankell, Khaled Hosseini, Erik Larson, Doris Kearns Goodwin and Simon Winchester. Stephen King wrote in one of his stories that every English teacher secretly dreams of writing a book. I think he's right! I'll sign off with this thought: We build peace by expressing goodwill through language.
