About Me
I am an educated Australian, who had the fortunate start in life to have been the son of two dedicated English teachers who taught me to love and respect the English language. Being mono-lingual I see my duty to continue to 'go in to bat' for the standards my parents helped me to understand. This is so that future generations and the multitudes of non-native speakers may continue to enjoy the richness that is this wonderfully expressive language.

Favorite Word:

It is the binding force for human relationships, and we all need forgiveness at some point. The narrator in an African wildlife documentary once said: "Grass is the forgiveness of nature." meaning that it always returned after the Savannah dry season fires to bring new life to the animals. I always found this to be a beautiful expression.
