I am a writer of Early American historical fiction. Fascinated by the changes in our language and ways of living since my first ancestors came here from England in 1630,I want to share my research with others in an entertaining way.
I dislike this word because for years I pronounced it EP-i-tome while reading the word to myself. I had my AHA moment when I first heard someone say the word correctly.(I also pronounced paradigm wrong, using four syllables, until I heard someone say it correctly.)
