About Me
I'm a Dutch-born Australian and have been living in WA for 26 years now. When young I wanted to learn English so I could read more books. The first book I read in English was The Hobbit by Tolkien. It belonged to my now husband, an Englishmen I met in my home town of The Hague. That was 31 years ago! I have never stopped reading books, and ended up doing a degree in English and comparative literature at Murdoch University in Perth. I still love books and reading, and also watching movies and TV drama, cooking and eating.

Favorite Word:

My favourite word is really 'framily', but since that is a made up word meaning 'friends who've become family' it cannot be displayed properly. Framily is very important to immigrants, since their own family is often not easily at hand, so you have to 'make' a family, hence framily.
