About Me
Burned out hillbilly lawyer who spends his days working with international students, this started with my priest after my wife left. The first one had real issues and I protested but took him nonetheless. He becomes like a son and to date I have had 41 young students live with me, they live with me without payment for anything. They have a number of issues ranging from depression, girl problems, family issues and so on. My purpose was to help them but they have given me far more than anything I had to offer, this sort of work has been my saving grace. I tutor them in their first and second years of college, I also try to enhance their vocabulary and help them to become excellent writers. So far even the most challenged students are making A's in the first two semesters of English Comp. I have wanted to help them extend their literary skills as well.

Favorite Word:

Becoming a successful and wealthy lawyer was much like chasing a dangling carrot. However giving of myself for reasons related to compassion brought some measure of peace to my existence. Happiness for me is in the more subtle aspects of existence, my children, friends, taking a walk or helping someone in need. Compassion provides the willingness and motivation to live in a selfless manner.

Least Favorite Word:

We live in the age of ignorance where we value money, property and prestige. This sort of existence makes us impervious to the needs of others and intolerant of those we don't understand. Intolerance is the result of unreasonable fears that have little or nothing to do with reality.
