I enjoyed the the novella. I have read other Hemingway pieces and found The Old Man & the Sea refreshing. As Hemininway described the old man's delima I couls almost feel the rope burning my palms as I read.

This is an excellent book for secondary school students.
Another book I would recommend is "Night" by Eli Wevisal.

Love Hemmingway. Too bad he couldn't overcome the bottle, Ive always sided with him over Steinbeck vs Hemmingway word usage debate.
