These blocks can only be activated with a redstone circuit, and are primarily used in trap-making.

Ladders will not adhere to glass.
adjacent
Dirt blocks can also grow grass by placing them adjacent to another dirt block that already has grass on it.
adjoin
Will also stop a stream of water when placed on an adjoining block.
advantage
Every world is unique and has its advantages and disadvantages.
aesthetics
Mostly for aesthetics, but can also offer protection against mobs as there are none that can break blocks yet.
aggressive
Aggressive: Aggressive is generally used in the phrase " Aggressive mobs."
alight
Used to set flammable items alight.
ambient
Used to provide ambient lighting.
annoying
Griefer: A player who looks to be destroying other peoples work on purpose, this causing havoc around the world and can be rather annoying.
application
Ingot: Created from smelting an ore, these are used in a variety of applications, including (but not limited to) tools, armour and the specific ore's metal block.
archaic
Reeds: The archaic term for Sugarcane.
aspect
Crafting: One of the main aspects of Minecraft is the crafting, hence MineCraft.
assign
Reeds were the name assigned by players until Beta.
available
Dirt: Most readily available block type when starting a new adventure.
award
Cake: An item promised by Notch if Minecraft won the 2010 Indie of the Year Awards (which it later did.)
ban
Mod: A Mod (Moderator) is a member of the Minecraft community with powers such as banning etc.
barrier
Dungeon: Commonly found within caves, they are easily spotted by the protective Cobblestone/Mossy Cobblestone barrier that surrounds a Mob Spawner.
base
Blocks: Blocks are the base of Minecraft.
burst
In the daytime, it bursts into flames.
button
Attack: An attack is when the player clicks the left mouse button at a mob.
caring
Farming: A phrase generally describing the caring of crops such as Wheat, but also Cacti and Sugarcane are "farmed" as they grow and can be harvested.
classic
Flood: In classic place a liquid block that floods the entire map, in survival place a liquid to make mines or buildings inaccessible or ruined.
commonly
Dungeon: Commonly found within caves, they are easily spotted by the protective Cobblestone/Mossy Cobblestone barrier that surrounds a Mob Spawner.
compass
Compass: A tool used to indicate the direction of the spawn point from your current position.
continually
These mob spawners will continually spawn a specific mob type (which appears as a spinning miniature version inside the mob spawner itself), until sufficient light is placed around the spawn area.
correctly
Cacti also have the benefit (and even harmful if not used correctly) of providing defense against mobs - any mob, including the player, will be hurt if they run into a Cactus.
creation
The server saves your creations.
creator
Notch: The prestigious creator of Minecraft.
cube
A 1x1x1 (1 cubed) cube that players can place or destroy; A unit of measurement in minecraft equal to 1 meter.
currently
There are currently 11 Biome types.
cycle
Shows the time as a rotating day/night cycle.
decay
Sapling: Obtained by destroying (or waiting for Leaves to decay after chopping it down) the Leaves on a Tree.
defense
Cacti also have the benefit (and even harmful if not used correctly) of providing defense against mobs - any mob, including the player, will be hurt if they run into a Cactus.
definition
Has crafting recipes and definitions of items in the game, but not ingame terms*.
describe
Farming: A phrase generally describing the caring of crops such as Wheat, but also Cacti and Sugarcane are "farmed" as they grow and can be harvested.
design
Dispenser: A block designed as both an item storage unit and an arrow launcher.
destruction
Nether: The Nether, formerly known as 'Hell' (which was renamed for religious reasons) and 'The Slip', is a treacherous plane of death and destruction.
difference
Each Biome has differences in grass and tree color, how much water or other kinds of blocks are present, and how trees grow in each area.
direction
Compass: A tool used to indicate the direction of the spawn point from your current position.
disadvantage
Every world is unique and has its advantages and disadvantages.
durable
This block retains the similar look of sand while making it more durable and it will not fall like a regular sand block.

Any entity in the game, including the player, which is able to move under on its own.
